Lent poem #43

I had a visitor today while my patio doors were open.

I flung aside the double doors today

and let the sun flood in the lounge

with light and air and sound

of birds to better stimulate the muse

to write yet more Lent poems.

As though by serendipity,

or maybe curiosity,

 a robin just by chance

hopped in, and with a sideways glance

 it ventured forth.

Unperturbed this friendly bird

seemed to question if I‘d cease

the pictures and just please

 get on with my writing.

So, I did.
